Prof. Dev.

The purpose of professional development in Alpine School District is to provide the professional experiences necessary to improve student learning. We support the National Staff Development Council’s goal that all educators experience high-quality professional learning as part of their daily work.
ASD Class Registration UEN Class Registration ASD Secondary Content Day Registration
The online system will be used to register for ASD Professional Development classes:
  • catalog courses are offered after school or weekends and may require a fee,
  • strands are offered during school time and may require a sub,
  • content days have classes which are offered on days with minimal day schedules,
  • conferences which are usually offered during the summer,
  • UEN also offers a wide variety of courses.
Xpress Bill Pay lets you read the catalog description, register for the class, and pay for it (if there is a fee) all in one place. Need help? ASD Catalog Classes Deadlines for Catalog Courses: Alpine School District teachers are given priority during the registration process until one week before the first day of the class. At that time, teachers on the waiting list will be notified to fill any vacant seats. Registration will close two school days prior to the first day of class to give instructors time to prepare materials. Refunds: To receive a refund, you must cancel by 5:00 P.M. one week before the class begins. Contact Katie Bayton at kbayton@alpinedistrict.org. Note: Alpine School District teachers are given priority. If you are not an Alpine School District teacher, you must use the waiting list option. UEN Professional Development Courses UEN offers a wide variety of technology classes for beginning, intermediate and advanced learners. Some classes meet in person while others are online. There are several categories of classes: multimedia, productivity, strategies and resources, web publishing and Mac classes. UEN also has information on the technology endorsement.
